# How do I install my internet ?

Ready to get connected? It's simple! Just follow these easy steps to install your modem and router.

| Before you start, a quick heads-up:
* If a technician’s visit at your residence is necessary (for cable installation and signal verification), you must wait at least an hour after their departure to plug in your Cogeco equipment.
* If your service is being activated remotely (without a technician visit), wait for our confirmation email that says your service is active. Once you get it, you're good to go!
