How do I manage my network names and passwords with the Plume Home app?

When you’re using Plume SuperPods your network name and password are controlled through the Plume Home app, available on iOS and Android mobile devices.

Changing the network name

The Plume Home app has 3 separate networks for different levels of access, but they all share the same network name (SSID). The level of access will change depending on which password is used (see Home, Guests and Internet Only below).

  1. Open the Plume Home app.
  2. Select the pencil icon next to the network name on the Plume Home app home screen.

  1. Select the pencil icon next to the network name. Enter the new network name and select Done.

Changing the Home password

Home is your main network and will give full access to your network and all devices.

  1. Open the Plume Home app.
  2. Select the pencil icon next to the network name on the Plume Home app home screen.

  1. Select the Home tab.

  1. Select the 3 dots next to the password you want to change and select Edit.

  1. Enter the new password and select Save.

Good to know: You can also set up additional passwords for your Home network and give different passwords to different people to help track their devices and usage. To do this, select New Home password.

Setting up a Guest password

A Guest password provides limited access to your network and can be set with a time limit.

  1. Open the Plume Home app.
  2. Select the pencil icon next to the network name on the Plume Home app home screen.

  1. Select the Guests tab.

  1. Select Create guest password.
  2.  Enter a name and password.

Note: This name is only used in the app to manage the settings for the Guest password. To connect to the network, users will still select the shared network name.

  1. Select a time to disable the password (by default this is set to Never). Select the devices you want your guests to be able to access (e.g. a TV or printer).
  2. Select Create.

Good to know:

  • You can set up additional Guest passwords by selecting Create guest password again.
  • To edit an existing Guest password, including the time limit and shared devices, select the pencil icon next to the name.
  • If you set a time limit and it expires, the password will still be saved in the app and noted as Disabled. To enable the password again, select the 3 dots next to it and select Enable.

Setting up an Internet Only password

Internet Only users will have access to the Internet but not to any devices in your home.

Open the Plume Home app.

  1. Open the Plume Home app.
  2. Select the pencil icon next to the network name on the Plume Home app home screen.
